Tomorrow, hubby and I are packing our bags and heading to San Diego for the weekend. Why? Because we’re walking the San Diego marathon.
Yes, on Sunday, I will be walking 26.2 miles and I need to do it in less then 7 hours. (For those of you, like me, who are math challenged, that’s about an 18 minute mile, which doesn’t seem like much until you start thinking of stringing 26 of those 18-minute miles together.)
To be honest, I’m not entirely sure why I agreed to do this. I’ve been reassured that it’s really fun (hmmm). And I’m positive once I cross that finish line I’ll feel a huge sense of accomplishment. Also, I’m going with a bunch of friends (never mind these are the same friends who tell me how much fun it is to walk 26 miles in one day) so I know I’ll have a good time with them, and I do love San Diego. If nothing else, I figure I’ll get some good newsletter fodder out of the deal.
