As a recovering workaholic/perfectionist, not to mention having delusions-of-superhero syndrome, I’m first to tell you the road to recovery isn’t easy. It’s fraught with obstacles and U-turns just waiting to send you right back to where you started.
But I’m also here to tell you that it DOES get easier. And the rewards of staying on the path are well worth it.

Sometimes cleaning and decluttering are planned. Sometimes they’re forced on you.
Last week, I had one forced on me. (I’m starting to think the universe has decided I needed to clean up certain aspects of my life.)
It all started when the bug guy (aka exterminator) showed up. I was seeing these piles of dead little black beetles everywhere. I couldn’t figure out where they were coming from nor why they had picked the inside of my house to die in (almost like my house had become the elephant graveyard for beetles). But there they were.
